Apple new release : Iphone 5 or Ipad 3 ?

We have something you really have to see.And touch.

This is the way Apple invite all media to a major event on the 7th of march,10.00 am,in San Francisco. As we are already used with Apple secretes,no other details are revealed. But we do have a picture, the only clue in the invitation, apparently showing the screen of on iPad,with one finger above the calendar icon, with the date mentioned above. We do believe that is the new iPad 3,so much expected, but we have to wait until 7 march.

iPad 3 press conference

As we have a lot of rumors,we will note some of them here and now!

iPad 3 should be the leader of the Apple devices. As per the rumors, one of the feuters of the new new device is “Retina display”,this means a high definition desplay, same as those on iPhone 4/4s.But we need to keep in mind that all have expected the iPad with Retina Display to be released since iPad 2 arrived, but on the launch of iPad 2 we were dissapointed,as this feature was not in the new device.

Another expected feature is that of much better, high resolution camera,or even more than one camera. We do expect that the rear facing camera will be atleast as the one on iPhone 4s,8 megapixels.Actual iPad 2 is not very much used for photography,as the camera is not so great, this being the main reason for  Apple planing to upgrade the existing camera.

The next interesting hardware on the new iPad 3 is the processor. What shall we expect?Could be the quad-core design processor or same processor as iPad 2 but with improved Imagination Technologies GPU .

Will Sprint Get the iPad 3?

As of right now, Sprint doesn’t have a 4G LTE network in place. It has plans to get it up by the middle of 2012, possibly as soon as April, when a contest for its first 4G LTE smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, is set to end.

So, like many consumers, we’ve begun to wonder.

Will Sprint get the iPad 3?

It has the iPhone 4S. It has the upcoming 4G LTE network. And, it could offer something that AT&T and Verizon can’t.

True unlimited data.

Thing is, we haven’t heard anything about a Sprint iPad. If you recall, the build up to the iPhone 4S on Sprint was immense. There were whispers galore. With the iPad 3, we’ve heard nothing but silence.

We’ve heard that AT&T and Verizon would be getting it, but not the Now Network.

And this gives me reason to believe that Sprint won’t get the iPad 3.

At least not at launch.

3D iPad probable with Japanese Film Solution: Video

Most know that Apple is always a bit behind when delivering latest technology in their iOS gadgets, even though the iOS realistic would no doubt say or else. But as far as I am aware Apple doesn’t have any 3D plans for their device. 3D appears to be the next big thing in the mobile space [...]

iPad deals: Apple Store refurbs drop prices

Dealmac pointed out yesterday that Apple has cut the prices on several refurbished models of the iPad. The Apple Store warns in red print that this is a Special Limited Time Price, which means now is the time to spread the news among your friends. There’s no catch in this bargain; the shipping on these refurbished iPads is free, so you won’t find yourself losing out on delivery cost.

The new prices are available for the Wi-Fi only version of the iPad; the price cuts don’t extend to refurbished iPad 3Gs. The 16GB version is now 9, down from the original 9. The 32GB and 64GB versions each have a dollar additional discount, however, going from 9 and 9 down to 9 and 9 respectively.

These prices make the refurbished iPad an even better deal for people who haven’t been sure whether to commit to the device. If you’ve been waiting for a sign to buy-in and go iPad, this is probably the best cue you can find.

iWork suite gains iOS 4.2 support on iPad

The iWork productivity suite for iPad is receiving significant upgrades to coincide with the release of iOS 4.2, Macworld reports. Most significantly, the three iWork tools (Numbers, Keynotes, and Pages) will support multitasking on the iPad.

Multitasking in 4.2 will already be familiar to many iPhone users. When you switch away from one of the iWork applications, the iPad will save the state of your work in iWork. When you come back to that application later, you’ll be able to resume right where you left off.

iWork has many other updates. The Tools menus have been simplified and now support AirPrint. PDFs should be more reliable when created in iWork, fixing a font compatibility issue. Keynote now supports more presenter-display functionality, allowing a presenter to see notes and slide information on their iPad without that view also being sent to the presentation projector. Keynote should also be more reliable when importing from PowerPoint and Keynote ’09.

Numbers is updated to allow you to preview how your spreadsheet will print when using multiple pages, but now it also includes an AutoFit function. There are many usability upgrades to Numbers and Pages which add up to really making the iWork apps a much more functional productivity suite.

These iWork updates should be available today (November 22), coinciding with the release of iOS 4.2.

iPad aids 25 percent increase in online computer sales

In a report released by comScore, a digital reporting firm, online computer hardware sales have increased by 25 percent this holiday season. Handheld computing devices like the iPad drove much of that growth, according the report.

This means computer hardware is the faster growing segment of holiday purchases, just ahead of consumer electronics. (Consumer electronics have grown 22 percent this season.) The reporting company called out the iPad by name, saying “handheld devices (such as Apple iPads and e-readers) and laptop computers drove much of the growth.”

It’s an interesting choice to group the iPad, which is a tablet computer, with dissimilar devices like the Kindle or Nook. Unfortunately, comScore didn’t release any numbers about how the iPad did against those e-readers. It will be interesting to see Apple’s reports about the iPad after this quarter, since we know they sold nearly 4.2 million iPads in the previous quarter.

UK iPad subsidy plan to be announced later today

Everything Everywhere is the UK’s largest mobile network operator, and it owns the UK telecom brands Orange UK and T-Mobile UK. According to Marketing Week, the two telecom brands are expected to issue a formal announcement on November 22 that they will sell the iPad at their dual-branded stores. Not only will the Everything Everywhere stores be carrying the iPad, but they will also offer a discount plan to consumers who enter a service contract with their telecom brands.

The discount plan to Orange and T-Mobile subscribers could mean up to 70 percent off of the iPad price tag if the subscriber signs an 18 month or 2 year contract. This is pretty big news, since this is the first widescale iPad subsidy being offered to consumers. Hopefully, Everything Everywhere is merely leading the charge, and we’ll soon see iPad subsidies from other mobile carriers.

No further details have been offered yet, although we should expect more contract details with the formal announcement soon.

Some Verizon iPad 2 units recalled by Apple

9to5Mac late Thursday reported that certain Verizon models of the iPad 2 are being recalled by Apple before they make it into the hands of customers. Apple has given all the stores a list of serial numbers to scan, if it’s a match we were told to set aside and ship back to Apple. Customers who ordered the model to be shipped directly to them have received “return to sender” notices when checking the status of deliveries with FedEx.

“Duplicate [Mobile Equipment Identifier] numbers were flashed onto an extremely small number of iPad 2 units for the Verizon 3G network,” an Apple representative said on Friday. Most of the devices had yet to reach the market, though a few had already been sold to customers. Apple declined to give more detailed information on the number of iPads recalled.

TiVo announces iPad app to control TiVo box

If you’re like most iPad users, then you probably surf the web and check out IMDB with your iPad while watching anything that might be showing on the television. TiVo knows this, embraces this, and wishes to support this. They want to make the experience between your television and your iPad even closer.

TiVo announced Monday a new, upcoming iPad app that will let you use many features of the TiVo service all on your iPad, without ever interrupting what’s happening on your larger television screen.

The TiVo iPad application will allow you to browse TiVo’s program guide, schedule recordings, remotely control your TiVo unit, and browse your library of recorded shows. Additionally, the app will search both broadcast TV and premium services like Netflix, let you check out the cast and crew information of any shows you’re watching, as well as schedule shows to be recorded while you’re on the road.

Upcoming does mean that it’s not out yet, but TiVo says we’ll be notified in the customer newsletter as soon as the app is available. It will be interesting to get our hands on the TiVo app since it really could open up a lot of powerful features.
